Context
Layout work across multiple titles for a Lithuanian publishing house. Each book had its own subject matter, audience, and editorial weight. I worked in InDesign on the typographic system, image placement, and content review.
Role
Layout designer. Took each title from manuscript to print-ready files and worked directly with the print houses through proofs to final delivery.
Viskas Praeina… Nepraeina!
Aldona Kazlauskaitė balsevičienė
A memoir from a ninety-year resident of Juodkrantė. The layout had to carry long-form personal reflection without breaking the reading rhythm.

Manekenas
Loreta Liutkutė
A novel about a young woman navigating violence, exclusion, and self-discovery. Restrained typography and a neutral grid so the prose could land on its own.

Meškos ausy
Nijolė Kliukaitė - Kepenienė
A family history tracing the Kondratavičiai line through generations. The layout's job was clear hierarchy across genealogical density.

Žvilgsnis iš maišo
Edmundas Untulis
A reflection on one woman's life through interwar Lithuania, occupation, and independence. The layout needed to hold the reader through philosophical passages.

Final note
The work that doesn't show in a portfolio is on the phone with a printer explaining why the body copy is darker than it should be, or going to the print house to check a proof in person. That's where books actually get well-made.
